Correct Your Crawlspace Issues

Many problems regarding heat loss and moisture/mold, start in the crawlspace. Without insulation in the band joist ends, cool temperatures often creep into the floors of your home. Another common problem in the crawlspace is mold and mildew. Without visqueen on the ground, moisture rises during the evaporation process and is absorbed into the bottom of your floor. At Gibbons Extreme Insulation, we insulate the band joist ends using foam. The foam is extended onto the foundation wall to ground level. The foam then seals to the visqueen to form a continual moisture barrier. Any and all seams in the visqueen are tapped using Stego Tape.
